Cleaning beaches with BeachTech

Many contaminants or potentially dangerous objects, such as splashes or broken glass, are found below the surface of the sand.

BeachTech beach cleaning machines pick up the sand via the pick-up coulter and guide it over a rotating sieve belt or sieve plate. There the dirt is sieved out of the sand. Even the smallest pieces of dirt, such as cigarette filters, broken glass or crown caps, but also larger objects such as cans and packaging waste can be removed in this way.
The waste is transported into the beach cleaner’s collection container, while the cleaned sand falls back to the ground and is smoothed by the finisher – leaving behind a clean and inviting beach.

Oil spills

Oil spills

When cleaning oil-contaminated beaches, details matter because it's important to keep the oil from penetrating deeper layers of sand, that are still intact. BeachTech beach cleaners gently scrape the contaminated sand surface with the pick-up blade. The screening technology and particularly fine screening belts are used to separate the oil from the sand. BeachTech beach cleaners are thus an important addition to manual beach cleaning in response to oil spills.

Seaweed

Seaweed

All around the world, seaweed on the beach is a recurring problem, which has now become a serious threat to tourism. Many years of experience with seaweed and brown algae make BeachTech an important partner for removing these deposits. Thanks to their large load volumes, BeachTech beach cleaning machines are capable of collecting and transporting even large quantities of seaweed and algae. By doing so, BeachTech beach cleaners contribute to reducing the effects of this problem on tourism.

Plastic waste

Plastic waste

Rid the beaches of plastic waste by your own beach cleaning project – supported by BeachTech. According to current estimates, up to ten million metric tons of plastic waste end up in the ocean every year.

Nurdles

Nurdles

Every year 130,000 metric tons of plastic pellets, known as nurdles, get into the sea. For example from sinking ships, and currents, wind and waves wash them ashore in large quantities. Quick collection of nurdles over a large area can prevent them from getting back into the sea. BeachTech beach cleaners screen large quantities of nurdles reliably. A single pass removes up to 95% of the nurdles from the sand! Depending on the field of application, various screen sizes are available. The cleaned sand is screened and dumped back onto the beach.
